What is the total project cost?

The estimated cost of the project is $3.2 Million including fundraising, design, and building costs.
 

Do we accept matching gifts?

Yes - Some employers offer matching gift programs for charitable contributions. It is often an employer requirement that matching gifts must be made to a 501c(3) foundation, in our case, the Rolla Chapter of Beta Sigma Psi Charitable Foundation.

 

Do we accept in-kind gifts?

Yes – Please contact us at etaalumni@betasigmapsi.org. There is an additional in-kind agreement detailing the In-Kind Gift Policy that must be completed before a gift is accepted.

 

Will my donation be tax deductible?

Depends - The leadership team is trying to maximize the amount of tax deductible dollars eligible for this project. At the same time, there are elements of this project including living spaces, furniture, fixtures, and a host of other items that do not qualify according to IRS standards for tax deductible gifts. Our project requires a mix of tax deductible and non-tax deductible donations to be successful.

Our minimum gift threshold to allow for tax deductibility is $25,000. Gifts may be made in lump sum or spread over 5 years. Gifts for employee sponsored matching programs are also accepted as tax deductible.

 

do you accept one time gifts?

Yes - Gifts may be made in lump sum or spread over 5 years.

How much money are we trying to raise?

With your help we will surpass our fundraising goal of $1.9 Million.
 

Do we accept gifts in the form of securities?

Yes – A contribution of appreciated securities is an excellent way to support the campaign. Donors of appreciated securities will not ordinarily be subject to capital gains tax on the appreciated value of the gift. Please consult your tax advisor for potentially significant tax advantages. Do we accept gifts from donor advised funds?

Yes – Please consult your fund manager or financial advisor for questions regarding your donor advised fund.

 

Do you need unrestricted gifts (not tax deductible)?

Yes - Donations of unrestricted funds to the Rolla Alumni Chapter (non-tax deductible) are welcomed. Our project requires a mix of tax deductible and non-tax deductible donations to be successful. Gifts of $25,000+ are not required to be tax deductible.

 

when do we need the money by?

The short answer is as soon as possible. While donors have the option to spread their gifts out over 5 years to maximize their contributions, construction has already started to ensure we do not lose any more ground to our competition. Sending in early contributions helps significantly reduce our borrowing and therein the associated financing costs. Early gifts are encouraged!

 

How are donors recognized?

All donors contributing $1,000 or more to the campaign will be recognized in campaign publications, unless otherwise requested. All donors contributing $2,500 and above will be recognized on a prominently displayed plaque in the chapter house. Gifts in honor or in memory of brothers, as well as family and pledge class contributions, are welcomed.
